SMS Messaging

MyBlueboard® provides admin with the ability to send SMS messages to student/parent groups. These messages are 1-way communication from admin (director, coach, etc) to students, parents, and directors.This service is an extra form of communication to help admins quickly and safely inform their participants of events, last minute updates, and much more!

Opting-In

In the United States, communication over text is highly regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and mobile network operators such as Verizon and T-Mobile. Adhering to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is crucial when sending text messages for business or marketing purposes. The TCPA mandates obtaining prior express consent, and specifically, prior express written consent for marketing or promotional texts. This consent needs to be clear, unambiguous, and documented. 

MyBlueboard® uses an industry leading service, Twilio, to safely and effectively manage the delievery of SMS messages. Click here to view Twilio's Privacy Notice. MyBlueboard® requires those who opt-in to SMS messaging to have a account.

How to opt-in to SMS messages

1. Login to your mybb account
2. In "myInfo," select "SMS Messaging"
3. Enter a valid mobile number, select the checkbox, and click "I consent!
